Event Details

The second in-person meetup in London for Open Knowledge Foundation networks and those interested in getting involved with open data communities in the city. All interested participants are welcome to attend.

The first meetup (Eventbrite here) was a great success, and there was demand for a bi-monthly event, so this is another opportunity to discuss ideas, opportunities and future events around #opendata and open knowledge projects you'd like to get involved with.

Light refreshments (and stickers!) included. Venue is the Centre for Creative Collaboration (#C4CC on Twitter) next to King's Cross Tube Station.

Please confirm your attendance so we know how much space to reserve.

Have a project you'd like to share with people into #opendata? Let us know by contacting event organizer Kat Braybrooke here and we'll provide the space for you to lead a topic corner for discussion. So far, we have proposals for discussions about #ICT4D, open academic data, and open bibliographic data - and we'd love to hear some more.

On Twitter? Share your thoughts about this event through the hashtag #opendataLDN.

Deep discussion at OKCon.

The Open Knowledge Foundation is a community-focused NGO started in Cambridge in 2004 which promotes public knowledge and open data projects that deliver far-reaching societal benefits. The term ‘open knowledge’ refers to any piece of content, information or data that people are free to use, re-use and redistribute without any legal, technological or social restriction. We aim to help others develop open material as well as creating it ourselves.
